Riding indoors

It has taken some time to get it all together, but I'm riding my touring bike in a fresh breeze as I type this, all in the comfort of my own home. The fresh breeze is coming from the big Rowenta fan, the typing is done on my wi-fi enabled laptop in front of me, and the bike is moored in the Hypermag turbo trainer, which was sidelined last year when the days got light enough to cycle to and from work without riding on dark roads.

I guess the main thing that puts people off turbo trainers during the winter is boredom. So far I am 14 miles into a fifteen mile ride, pulse is steady at 134, and the keyboard is still functioning despite me delicately dripping onto it... and I've still got a host of cycling blogs and sites to catch up before I finish spinning tonight!
